The use of qualitative methodologies in health services/systems research in low and middle income settings: a narrative literature review

The aims of this review are to use a case study of published literature on quality of care in the Former Soviet Union to identify current issues in the use if qualitative methods in health services/systems (HSR) research, summarise what is known from the wider literature about the challenges and possibilities of transferring qualitative methodologies for (HSR) to low and middle-income countries and identify the implications for the design of cross-national qualitative HSR studies.
