Health is a bridge for peace: let us make use of it

In June 2021, we, the leadership of WHO Eastern Mediterranean Regional Office (EMRO), Pan American Health Organization (PAHO) and the Alliance for Health Policy and Systems Research, issued a call for papers on peace for health. However, peace in the world has since then declined. This has devastating implications for health as healthcare workers are attacked and health facilities are damaged and destroyed. This paper outlines the pieces published in the supplement and emphasizes the strong linkages between health and peace.
