Selecting rapid review methods for complex questions related to health policy and system improvements

Book

Chapter 4: Selecting rapid review methods for complex questions related to health policy and system improvements describes how to select effective streamlined methods for rapid reviews by considering how the project will be managed, the scale and scope of the work to be completed, and the existing knowledge available.<br />Strategies to conduct rapid reviews are provided, such as using a two-stage process of first scoping the literature, then selecting a focus; use of a transdisciplinary team to speed and enhance the review; use of a framework to organize the concept under study; as well as conducting a search for existing reviews to allow reviewers to summarize and integrate the review findings, resynthesize primary studies, or update the systematic review.
